Adrian Ballinger runs the shale inclines and remaining snow at Squaw Valley High Camp at Squaw Valley Ski resort in Lake Tahoe, California. He uses running the various trails and other parts of the mountain to recover from his longer expeditions such as his recent attempt on Mt. Everest where he can lose up to 20 pounds from his 150 pound starting weight.
Ballinger is the owner of Alpenglow Expeditions, a mountaineering guide company based in Olympic Valley, California at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort that specializes in high altitude guiding worldwide. Ballinger is recovering from a recent Mt. Everest attempt with only a 2-3 week break before he climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro.
